A chance to “win some industry recognition” – Northampton Borough Council welcomes the East Midlands Bricks Awards

East Midlands property construction Leicester Nottingham Derby Northampton Lincoln

Just 19 days remain until the nomination deadline for the 2020 East Midlands Bricks Awards, meaning there is still time to submit your entries to “showcase the fantastic work [firms are] doing and perhaps even win some industry recognition,” as Cllr Tim Hadland, Northampton Borough Council Cabinet member for Regeneration and Enterprise says.

The independent awards and publicity programme recognises development projects and people in commercial and public building across the East Midlands – from offices, industrial and residential, through to community projects such as leisure schemes and schools.

Speaking to Business Link, Cllr Tim Hadland offered his thoughts on the awards and the property and construction industry in Northampton: “We have a thriving construction sector with a busy building programme going on in and around Northampton.

“The Council itself has two large-scale projects under way totalling over £20 million – a major extension and revamp at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery, and our Vulcan Works managed workspace project for creative industries – not to mention a busy programme of social housing construction.

“These awards give firms an opportunity to showcase the fantastic work they’re doing and perhaps even win some industry recognition for it.”
