Snows Timber, the importers, distributors and processors of timber and timber related products, has entered into administration.

The 200 year old company has three sites – its distribution centres in Andover and Mansfield, and head office in Towcester.

The Mansfield distribution centre had become the firm’s primary production hub.

On 18 November 2019, Matthew Haw and Matthew Wild of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP were appointed administrators of Snows Timber Limited. The joint administrators are now in the process of selling the business and assets of the company.

The news follows a Management Buy Out in March led by Ian Church, Managing Director, alongside Craig Willoughby, Supply Chain Director and Adam Cray, Finance Director, and the sale of the company’s Glastonbury site in February to Sydenhams. The firm’s Head Office then moved to Towcester, Northamptonshire.
