The RU Group’s Invesco partnership expands firm’s ESG investment options

Wealth management and financial advice firm, The RU Group, has partnered with global investment management specialist, Invesco, to offer its personal and corporate clients a wider portfolio of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) investments.

Ian Browne, Head of Advice at The RU Group, said: “Our clients are becoming increasingly interested in ESG investment options and its growing within financial services. Clients are looking for investment choices which align with their personal values and beliefs, including sustainability, climate change, animal welfare and ethical business.

“We wanted to further expand our ESG offering and partnering with Invesco provides us access to global funds that help us give greater choice to our clients.”

Invesco has built up a strong reputation for ESG investing, already, managing more than $52.7bn in dedicated sustainable investment strategies, and it continues to build on this experience by putting ESG at the forefront of its investment beliefs.

Owen Thomas, Head of UK Advisory at Invesco, added: “Our fundamental belief is that ESG investing is an essential part of the solution to a sustainable future. By partnering with wealth management companies who share our view, such as The RU Group, increasing numbers of people will have the opportunity to incorporate ESG investments into their portfolios.

“We view ESG as an important agent of change in driving a holistic perspective on the investment industry’s role in creating value. Our commitment goes far beyond delivering elements of ESG at a functional level, it goes to the heart of the way we are working with our clients to realise the value they seek. This is why this partnership with The RU Group is so important to us, as collectively we recognise that ESG matters greatly to our clients, communities and stakeholders.”

Invesco has grown to become one of the largest and trusted global investment managers. Its range of ESG solutions includes active and passive, equities, fixed income, real estate, multi-asset, thematic and custom strategies.

ESG investing is an investment strategy which aims to combine financial return with positive social value. It uses criteria such as environmental, social and governance factors to assess investments against their wider, longer term impacts. They include things like pollution and waste prevention, potential risks posed through emissions and compliance with legislation or regulation.

The partnership with Invesco, comes only months after the RU Group announced it has also teamed up with EBI Portfolios to be able to provide Earth Portfolios, offering investors the opportunity to combine a passion for ethical behaviour with positive financial returns.
