Recticel renews contract with Leicester transport management company

Foam manufacturer Recticel has renewed its contract with transport management company 3T Logistics to help improve transport processes and reduce waste in the supply chain.

Based in Enderby in Leicestershire, 3T has been working with Recticel since 2012, implementing its SOLO suite of software to help the company automate and manage a range of transport and administration processes. As part of the new contract, 3T will be providing 4PL services at Recticel’s insulation site in Stoke-on-Trent.

Tim Fawkes, MD of 3T Logistics, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our working relationship with Recticel.

“The transport element is such a key part of the manufacturing supply chain that it’s important to ensure it is managed as efficiently as possible, both from a customer service and a financial point of view”.

3T manages in excess of £150 million of transport activity annually for a portfolio of clients that includes Linpac Packaging, JCB, Honda and Saica.

Recticel specialises in the manufacture and conversion of polyurethane foams for a range of industries including insulation, upholstery, transport and healthcare. The organisation has 100 manufacturing sites across 20 countries and employs 8,000 staff worldwide.

Kevin Bohea, commercial director at Recticel Insulation, said: “Our work with 3T has been hugely beneficial to our company – and our customers, who experience better levels of customer service.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with them”.
