Beacon Hill Country Park in Leicestershire has a new operator for its on-site café following the end of council management earlier this year. The venue, previously run by Leicestershire County Council, has been leased to Old Pots, a business known for running The Old Post Office Tearoom in Newtown Linford near Bradgate Park.
The café, now trading as Beacon Hill Kitchen & Deli, is located at the lower end of the country park and continues to serve as a popular stop for visitors. The site includes outdoor seating and bike racks, catering to cyclists, walkers and families exploring the Green Flag award-winning park.
Old Pots has introduced an updated menu featuring drinks, food and homemade cakes, with options for vegan and gluten-free diets. Dogs remain welcome and both table and takeaway services continue to operate.
The transition marks the next phase in the park’s efforts to enhance visitor facilities and strengthen partnerships with local businesses. The café sits close to key attractions such as the Labyrinth trail and children’s play area, helping to support steady visitor footfall throughout the year.
