A modern food processing plant and adjoining farmland near Boston, Lincolnshire, has been acquired by a leading operator in the food industry.
The facility, formerly occupied by a food brand, spans 14 acres within a 51-acre site at Wyberton. It includes four main buildings totalling 122,323 square feet, with temperature-controlled and ambient processing areas, chilled storage, an additional production unit, and a resource centre housing offices and meeting rooms.
The site, marketed at offers over £3.8 million including farmland, was sold through Eddisons’ Lincoln office in collaboration with Lambert Smith Hampton. The agents confirmed the sale was finalised within a week of legal instruction.
Will Wall, Director at Eddisons, said, “The high quality, bespoke nature of the production facilities, as well as the well-laid out campus site and then the additional farmland option, was a ready-made commercial opportunity that was going to attract key operators in the food processing sector.
“The sale reinforces the pre-eminent position Lincolnshire occupies when it comes to food production and farming in the UK, and it’s a firm example of inward investment in this vital part of the regional economy.
“The speed with which the deal concluded once negotiations were underway is a further testament to that.”
The buyer’s identity has not been disclosed, though agents described the purchaser as a significant operator in the sector. Offers exceeding £3 million were initially invited for the production facilities alone, excluding the surrounding farmland.
The deal adds further momentum to Lincolnshire’s reputation as a national hub for food production and processing, underscoring sustained investment confidence in the region’s agri-food infrastructure.
