Inferno fires up new UK pizza concept

Inferno fired up its first UK restaurant in Nottingham city centre on Friday evening with a busy pre-launch event featuring free pizza.

The restaurant offers fresh, custom-made pizza that is cooked in just 180 seconds in a blazing hot 900 degree oven. Customers can craft their own pizza using a choice of over 50 toppings or select one of six “Hall of Flames” signature pizzas – all for less than £7.

Michael Johnson, operations manager at Inferno Nottingham, said: “You can’t escape the UK’s love affair with pizza – so what better way to satisfy that appetite than opening an interactive, new pizza place where you can create your own freshly made pizza, get great value for money and be ready to enjoy it in less than five minutes?

“Nottingham is fast gaining a reputation for its vibrant food culture; we’re proud to be part of this exciting new phase and can’t wait to welcome the public to Inferno.”

The 98-seat restaurant, which can be found at Trinity Place opposite the Intu Victoria Centre offers both “take-a-seat” and “take-away” services.

Inferno Nottingham will be the first site to open in the UK. 40 new jobs have already been created, with further opportunities expected in the coming months.
