The directors of a Derbyshire engineering firm have revealed that just before lockdown the business acquired Franklyn Yates Engineering Ltd, bringing it into the Greenbank Group.
Franklyn Yates Engineering (FYE) is a mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) company with extensive experience in the water, waste-water, power, petrochemical, food and pharmaceutical sectors.
David Yates, Managing Director, stated: “Franklyn Yates has extensive experience in all aspects of design, manufacture and installation of various items ranging from water storage tanks to stainless steel, ductile iron, carbon steel and UPVC pipework along with the pipe supports and pipe bridges.
“We look forward to building a closer working relationship with the Greenbank Group and developing our businesses side-by-side.”
Charles Conroy, Group MD, said: “Franklyn Yates Engineering brings to the Group a level of experience and diversity we have long been missing. Having experienced project-led engineers at the heart of its operations has taken this business from strength to strength. The company has become the preferred choice to its core customers.
“I look forward to developing the businesses together with David in the coming years which will include diversifying and developing Greenbank’s core abilities.”
