Construction has started on a 53-home development at Finney Meadows in Shepshed, marking another step in Allison Homes’ expansion across the East Midlands. The site, located off Iveshead Road, received planning approval in August 2025 and will feature a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom homes. Eleven of these will be designated as affordable housing. The first residents are expected to move in by spring 2026.
The development will include landscaped green spaces and has been designed to complement the local area. It follows the company’s previous regional success in Stanton-under-Bardon and reflects its strategy to strengthen its presence in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
Allison Homes launched its East Midlands headquarters in Castle Donington in 2024. Since then, it has secured multiple land parcels across the region, helping it achieve its target of delivering 2,000 homes a year nationwide.
The Shepshed project also carries a community investment of around £120,000 through Section 106 contributions. These funds will support youth facilities, open spaces, sports amenities, waste infrastructure, highways improvements, and local education. The company has also made smaller local contributions, including a £500 donation to the Shepshed youth performing arts group Act One.
Allison Homes, an award-winning builder with a five-star Home Builders Federation rating, continues to expand from its established bases in the East of England and South West, adding momentum to its growth in the Midlands housing market.
