Chris Pullen, the CEO of Staffline, the Nottingham-based recruitment and training group, has tendered his resignation.

Chris will continue to carry out his role as CEO during his notice period as the firm searches for his replacement.

The company noted that its outlook for 2020 remains unchanged and in-line with market expectations.

Its net debt position at 31 December 2019 is expected to be £60 million, subject to audit.

Tracy Lewis, Non-Executive Chair of Staffline, said: “I would like to thank Chris for his contribution to the business as both Chief Executive and previously Finance Director. Chris has led the business through very difficult circumstances and we wish him well for the future. I look forward to announcing a new CEO in due course.”

The news follows a trading update at the end of January, in which the firm revealed that it expected adjusted operating profit for the year ending 31st December 2019 to be “materially below” previous guidance.
