Senior appointments underpin growth at Musk Process Services

Charlie Price

Swadlincote-based engineering firm Musk Process Services has strengthened its team with two senior appointments, as it sets its sights on continued expansion.

Charlie Price, who joins Musk as Operations Director, has more than 15 years’ experience in senior management roles in the construction and engineering sectors. Charlie will work alongside the senior team and play an integral role in reshaping Musk’s service offering and developing existing expertise to complement its growth strategy.

The business has also appointed Stuart Halom as Health and Safety Officer, who brings with him a wealth of experience in implementing best practice and improving compliance on site, putting the health and wellbeing of employees first.

Musk employs over 120 people at its Swadlincote HQ and is sharply focused on developing the next generation of engineers, with 15 apprentices currently employed.

The business works with clients to improve manufacturing capability and counts prestigious brands such as Unilever and Coca Cola as longstanding clients, and is currently involved in developing Unilever’s Burton-on-Trent factory as it prepares to relocate Colman’s mustard production to the centre of town.

Musk Process Services is part of UK-wide engineering firm Edwin James Group following its acquisition in 2017, which has recently announced a 30 per cent increase in revenues of £140m.

Charlie Price, Operations Director at Musk, said: “Musk Process Services has a strong reputation in the area and is known for its quality of service and wide-ranging expertise, as well as being an established employer which supports the local economy.

“I look forward to focusing the enviable skill set we have within the business to encourage expansion in key sectors, such as food, beverages and healthcare. I will also be helping to develop our involvement in prestigious projects, such as the Unilever relocation contract, to support internal growth.”

Mark Orpin, Group Commercial Director for Edwin James, said: “Charlie and Stuart are fantastic editions to the team, bringing with them a whole host of skills and expertise to progress our business strategy.

“We are very proud of the work our people do and the number of people still working with us who began their careers as apprentices. We will continue this grassroots investment as our service offering and business continues to expand.”
