Nottinghamshire-based architects expand team with new appointment

AM2 Architects has welcomed a new technical associate to its growing Newark team; senior lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, Jason Bierton.

Having graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with an HND in Business Information Technology and a BSc (Hons) in Architectural Technology, Jason brings more than 15 years of architectural experience to the team.

Jason has previously worked at architectural practices including CPMG, Maber, and Marchini Curran in Nottingham; and SRA Architects in Bath. These previous roles involved delivering projects with global brands, institutions and developers and he hopes to apply this broad experience and knowledge to projects across various sectors to provide both AM2 Architects and its clients with significant project value.

Alongside his new role, Jason is also a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) and a senior lecturer in architectural technology at Nottingham Trent University, leading the final-year construction technology module one day per week.

His new role at AM2 Architects will cover assisting with project delivery, technical team leadership, quality assurance, business development and management functions.

Jason said: “I’m always excited by the next project: the resolution of a new brief with unique constraints. I also look forward to adding to the considerable pool of knowledge and experience at AM2 and applying this shared expertise to our growing client base.

“I was impressed with the directors at AM2 Architects and the way that they have combined their professional backgrounds in design and construction respectively to create and deliver a portfolio of contemporary, cost-effective, quality solutions. I believe that my own knowledge and experiences can blend with those within the practice in order to maintain and enhance our services provision.”

Angel Gonzalez Aguilera, Managing Director at AM2 Architects, said: “We’d like to give a warm welcome to Jason on joining the AM2 team. With his extensive experience and enthusiasm, he is the perfect addition to our team and will help us to continue to deliver an excellent service for our clients.”
