New team member and double award nomination for Derby accountancy and business advisors

A Derby business which has more than tripled in size since setting up two years ago has welcomed its seventh new member – and been shortlisted for two national awards.

Vibrant Accountancy, based on Duffield Road, has welcomed 27-year-old Zoe Bishop to its growing team.

Zoe joins Vibrant – who have been shortlisted for New Firm of the Year in the Accounting Excellence awards, with co-founder Bev Wakefield making the final 10 of the Innovator of the Year category at the Women in Finance awards – as a senior accountant, specialising in bookkeeping, annual accounts and VAT management.

The appointment sees Zoe link up with Bev and fellow co-founder Ian Ball, Samantha Carter-Roe, Vibrant’s chief book-keeper, office co-ordinator Lynn McCabe, Emma Vicars, head of accounting, and Lauren Hiller, their Head of Tax.

“I am absolutely over the moon to have joined Vibrant Accountancy,” said Zoe, from Chaddesden. “I admire their ethos; they want to ‘shake-up’ the industry which is often considered ‘stuffy’. They champion fellow small businesses and there is a great vibe here, too. It’s a close-knit team and I’ve been made to feel very welcome.”

Co-founder Bev said: “Zoe compliments our team perfectly. She’s talented, ambitious and has a can-do attitude. We’re excited to see what she can bring to the team.”
