East Midlands manufacturer and supplier, SuperFOIL Insulation has announced a number of new hires as the company completes its move to Lincoln.

The family-owned company, which moved its entire operations to a five acre site in Lincoln this month, has hired two new business development managers; Rob Quinton and Richard Spencer.

It comes after a record year for the company, which saw its turnover grow 38% in the last year, making 2018/19 the most profitable year in its 12 year history.

Last week, the company completed relocating the business from North Nottinghamshire to a five acre site on Pioneer Way in Lincoln.

The company has also appointed a new sales manager who’ll join SuperFOIL next month, and it will soon be interviewing for an office administrator.

New Business Development Manager, Rob Quinton joins the company after 16 years at competitor, YBS Insulation. There, Rob was instrumental in developing its multi-foil insulation products and progressed from storeroom to becoming Commercial Manager.

Rob was also part of the Confederation of Multi-foil Manufacturers (CMM) which was instrumental in setting out new testing standards for reflective insulation including EN16012. Rob is now using his detailed knowledge of insulation to develop new products and to help specifiers and end users to find the best solutions by combining SuperFOIL insulation with other products to deliver significant savings.

Within weeks of starting at SuperFOIL, Rob has instigated the development of a new cavity closer product, SuperClose and led the development of a new 4.5m wide version of SFTV reflective insulation membrane.

Speaking about his new role, Rob said: “Working at SuperFOIL, I’m connecting with customers and I’m able to genuinely help people to get the best results, which is great. I’m really excited about what I’m working on today and I’m excited about what I’ll be working on tomorrow.

“This company is very forward thinking and entrepreneurial; they’re not bogged down by corporate red tape, they encourage ideas and they develop them quickly to bring new innovations to the market. They really care about the quality of the product and they work hard to make sure customers achieve the best results. I’m proud to have joined this team and I’m really looking forward to helping more developers, builders and architects get better results.”

Richard Spencer joins the brand as business development manager for the Midlands region. Richard has extensive experience of representing well known organisations, having previously held a role at The Football Association. While working for The FA, Richard worked in America and the Middle East before working to support grassroots football in Nottinghamshire as Football Development Officer. Richard’s experience also includes technical sales in the legal sector.

In his new role, Richard will be travelling across the Midlands to represent SuperFOIL Insulation and support its clients and customers in the region.

Richard said: “It feels great to be here at SuperFOIL Insulation. Every member of the team here are technical experts so I’m learning a lot from them. Relationships are incredibly important to companies like ours and being able to meet and help clients is a key part of our service. I’m looking forward to meeting new people, building those relationships and genuinely helping developers, builders, architects and housebuilders to get great results by using our products.”

In 2018, SuperFOIL Insulation’s turnover rose by £945,000 with its range of multi-foil roof, floor and wall insulation driving sales growth. In the next year, SuperFOIL Managing Director, William Bown hopes to build on that success and Rob and Richard are fundamental to the company’s ambitions.

William Bown said: “I’m really pleased to be welcoming Richard and Rob to the SuperFOIL team as we start a new chapter of the company’s history in Lincoln. Their experience, skills and talents will help us to make 2019 an even more successful year for the business and they’re already doing great work. We’re about to make some big changes which will help the company to grow so they’ll be working hard to enable us to deliver a better product and provide a better service for more and more customers.

“Rob has helped us to develop some really useful variations of our existing products and he’s helped us to create a new cavity closer for windows and doors, which is already proving to be hit with builders and developers.

“You’d be hard pressed to find someone who knows more about insulation than Rob does; he’s a great addition to the team. Richard is also off to a great start; he’ll be forging connections across the Midlands so that we can support housebuilders, developers and architects more than ever before.

“While Richard and Rob are great additions to the team, I’m confident that their support will help us to create even more jobs this year as we increase sales and production from our new headquarters in Lincoln.”
