New commercial director at Babington Group

Derby-based Babington Group is taking its apprenticeship and training team to the next level with the appointment of a new commercial director.

The company, which provides training across a growing number of sectors, selected David Gallagher for the position due to his wealth of experience.

In 2012 Gallagher established his own consultancy business, supporting local enterprise partnerships, training organisations, employers and sector bodies to innovate within the education, employment and skills markets.

He said: “I am thrilled to be joining the Babington Group, I am really looking forward to working in such a great organization.

“Babington are real pioneers, ahead of the game, with a will to succeed and have a genuine passion and belief in making that difference. I’m looking forward to the challenge and to help build on the collaborations and knowledge that is already taking place”.

Carole Carson, group CEO, said: “We are delighted David has joined us, he has a wealth of experience in our sector across a variety of roles at senior level, coupled with a desire and genuine passion to transform people’s lives, which aligns with the group’s own mission.

“This role is a major investment from Babington and highlights once again our ambition to continue to succeed and grow.

“David’s experience in building excellent partnerships and collaborative working will further enhance our already successful team and ensure we continue to pave the way to help more people succeed and prosper”.
