After recently recruiting eight new drivers, vehicle delivery specialist VisionDrive has welcomed Julia Wilkinson to the team as Non-Executive Finance Director.

In her new role, Julia will be responsible for restructuring the business to match the team’s ambitious future and to lead the company’s financial growth plan as it continues to expand outside of Lincolnshire.

Julia said: “It’s a real pleasure to be joining the team at VisionDrive. One of the company’s objectives is to grow. I’ve already seen much of the company’s rapid growth at first hand, and I’ve been able to identify how my areas of expertise will be beneficial to the current and future success of the business.”

Julia will be bringing 14 years’ experience in supporting SME’s in Lincolnshire to VisionDrive’s teams in Lincoln and Doncaster.

Julia added: “I helped to lead the growth plan when developing the new VisionDrive team in Doncaster, which has proved to be a real success. What people often forget is that establishing a new team relies heavily on financial capacity; together with my knowledge of commercial banking, equity, and quality and asset finance I hope that I can lead VisionDrive to a position where they are well established in the industry and able to expand further.”

Ian Smith, Director at VisionDrive, said: “We have seen such a rapid growth in the business since starting up just under two years ago. Now that we’re branching out, we’ve recognised that we need a targeted financial approach and management system in place to ensure that we’re able to keep up with the demand for our services, which is where Julia comes in.

“Customer satisfaction is our main priority. As we’ve grown we’ve established that there is a certain level of service that our customers expect to see from us, and we want to maintain that.

“In less than a month we’ll be setting up a base in Hull where we’ll be looking to recruit 14 new drivers. We’re also lucky enough to be adding 20 trucks to our fleet very soon, which will mean a further 20 additional jobs once those are on the road, 2018 is proving to be a fantastic year for us.

“Julia will be able to bring in the knowledge and right areas of expertise to ensure we develop in Hull and beyond to the best of our abilities.”
