Former Macildowie director joins Distinct Recruitment

Fast-growing recruiter, Distinct Recruitment, based in West Bridgford, has announced that senior recruitment expert, Alex Alcock, has joined the business.

Mr Alcock has over 11 years of recruitment experience, specialising in accounting and finance. He joins Distinct from Macildowie, where his most recent role was Operations Director.

Alex will now head up the accounting and finance team at Distinct, whilst working with director Arran Jaiswal on the strategic growth of the business alongside CEO James Calder.

‘Finance is the biggest division here at Distinct,’ explains Alex, ‘but it can be even bigger. The team has an enormous range of experience and a diverse skillset. It is my job to harness that and take the team to the next level.

‘There are already 4 in the team, not including our co-founder Arran and we will be taking on another 2 people very shortly. I’m here to bring my experience of growing teams around a solid spine, building a framework for growth for our division and the wider business, whilst ensuring that we can service the market to the best of our ability across the East Midlands.

‘I was with my previous firm for a decade and the time just felt right to pursue a new challenge. I’ve known James and Arran for a long time and have watched the emergence and growth of Distinct with interest and great respect and I am very excited to be a part of this.’

Distinct Recruitment has now appointed a new member of staff for every month that they have been in business since setting up in early 2017. CEO James Calder is bullish about the potential of the firm;
