Checking the safety and suitability of a wide range of equipment covering machining, assembly and test machinery was also part of the remit.
At Finch Consulting, Michael will work with clients in sectors involved in the manufacturing, engineering, leisure and entertainment sectors to help them identify and understand problems in order to deliver solutions that will improve their management of engineering risk.
Commenting on his appointment, Michael said: “When I was researching my next career move, the word ‘community’ was continually used in relation to Finch. Having met the team and realised how passionate they all are about delivering engineering excellence, I was immediately excited about the prospect of joining a team of experts that are always eager to pool their wide ranging talent and expertise in order to provide a quality service to customers.”
In his spare time, Michael has a keen interest in aviation history, and learned to fly a glider before he could drive a car.
