Cowens boosts team with new Financial Planner

Cowens Group has strengthened its growing team with the recruitment of an experienced Financial Planner.

Phil Michou joins the financial services arm of the business, Cowens Financial Planning, bringing with him almost a decade of experience in the profession. After graduating from the University of Nottingham, Phil first worked for a pension provider, before progressing into the wealth management department within a large Midlands-based accountancy firm. Here, he worked as an Administrator, then moved into Paraplanning, before progressing into a Financial Planning role.

Within his new role, Phil will use his wealth of knowledge and experience to work with Cowens existing clients as well as building new relationships for the business, helping them to achieve their financial goals.

Phil will also play a key role in developing the existing team, managing projects in house to improve efficiencies as well ensuring Cowens are adopting the latest technology to enhance the offering to clients.

He said: “I am very excited to have joined such a close-knit and dynamic team at Cowens. I can’t wait to start helping people with their financial planning needs and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been given this opportunity.

“Cowens prides itself on providing the best possible service to its clients, and with a smaller team comes more flexibility to deliver above and beyond what is expected. As well as looking after my own clients, I will also be working closely with all of the team, to enable the business to grow whilst still remaining efficient and focused on delivering the high levels of service that Cowens is known for.”

Phil joins Cowens Financial Planning at a crucial time for the business, as it looks to expand its reach even further across the UK in 2020, following the recent company rebrand and fast-paced growth achieved over the last 12 months.

MD of Cowens Financial Planning, Tony Duckworth, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Phil to the team. With the vast knowledge and experience he has as both a Financial Planner and Paraplanner, his appointment will undoubtedly help to fulfil our business aims and objectives for this year by helping to create a better experience for our clients.”
