East Midlands-headquartered accountancy firm Cooper Parry has welcomed another heavyweight from PwC to its growing audit team alongside two internal promotions.
After 20 years at PwC, Liz Ross-Jones has joined as audit partner. At the same time Holly Green and David Fotheringham have both been promoted to partner.
Liz brings a wealth of experience, having worked with listed companies, privately owned and equity-backed firms as well as foreign-owned subsidiaries across sectors including food and drink, manufacturing, and energy. Her track record spans GAAP conversions, acquisitions, business sales, and finance system transformations.
She joins Arif Ahmad, who made the move from PwC in September, as CP continues to grow its presence in Yorkshire and the North East.
Liz said of her appointment: “What stood out to me about CP was the energy and ambition. It’s a firm that genuinely cares about people and the impact it makes, and that really resonated with me. I’m looking forward to building strong relationships across Yorkshire and the North East, joining a team that brings CP’s values to life every day.”
CP’s audit partner group has also grown with Holly Green and David Fotheringham recently being promoted to partner.
Holly joined Cooper Parry in April 2022 and has been instrumental in growing Big Business Audit, winning complex group audit clients.
David’s journey with CP began in the Midlands 12 years ago. Since then, he’s played a pivotal role in transforming what was once a fledgling start-up into London’s go-to firm for Tech and High Growth businesses.
Katie Warrington, CP’s national head of audit, added: “Seeing our audit partner group grow with Liz joining and Holly and David stepping up is a huge milestone. It reflects the momentum we’ve built and the ambition we have for the future.
“Liz’s experience and straight-talking approach will strengthen our team even further as we continue to deliver audits that go beyond compliance to add real value.”
