Bloor homecoming for design director Tim

Bloor Homes has appointed a new group design director to oversee the design department at its head office in Measham, Derbyshire.

In something of a homecoming, Tim Peach has returned to the company where he began his career 27 years ago.

Since joining Bloor Homes back in 1990, Peach has gone on to hold several senior design positions within a number of leading housebuilders.

Peach will be responsible for ensuring the housebuilder’s developments are designed to the highest standard.

He said: “I have been fortunate to work for some fantastic companies with inspiring individuals during my career but the opportunity to re-join Bloor Homes was an offer too good to miss.

“Bloor has exceptionally strong leadership and high values, and this, combined with talented individuals that have a real passion for designing and building quality new homes, puts them in a strong position”.

Peach, who lives in Leicestershire, said an increased emphasis on place making had been the biggest change he had experienced during his 27 years in the industry.

He added: “Developers have always been focused on their product but now there is a need for a more holistic approach that considers how developments integrate within existing communities or create new ones.

“I am passionate about place making and creating communities with real character where people are proud to live. My new role with Bloor Homes gives me a fantastic opportunity to deliver this”.
