Aerospace expert lands at PKF Cooper Parry

An expert in the aerospace sector has joined the growing team at Cooper Parry Corporate Finance.

Clive Snowdon joins the East Midlands Airport-based firm as an industrial adviser, having spent his career leading high performing businesses in the aerospace sector, including being chair of Shimtech, which was sold in 2015 for $220m to Auctus Industries by Bridgepoint Development Capital.

As chief executive at Umeco, Snowdon built the business over 14 years from revenues of £20m to £450m through a series of acquisitions and organic growth strategies.

He said: “Having met with several members of the Cooper Parry Corporate Finance team at various seminars and conferences – and enjoying their fresh outlook on the market, the way they do business and their strong connections as part of Global M&A – I was pleased to be approached with an offer of a role as an advisor to the firm.

“The role will be a mixture of being in the office and being drafted in to offer support and advise on deals, in essence bolstering the advisory team in relation to any queries in the aerospace sector. The firm is planning to build on its current practice in the sector and already has several key clients on board.

“This position suits where I am now in my career, as it won’t be a 9-5 desk job but I will be called upon to use my expertise and knowledge to help the team as and when it is needed.”

Snowdon is currently a senior non-executive director of Hill and Smith and is chair of the Midland Aerospace Alliance which supports and represents some 300 companies in the aerospace industry across the Midlands region.
