Creative businesses across the Derbyshire Dales are encouraged to apply for funding to drive innovation and business growth. Administered by Derbyshire Dales District Council through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the grants provide financial support for a broad range of projects aimed at strengthening the local creative economy.
“The Derbyshire Dales is an area that fosters creativity. We know there are lots of small creative businesses out there who just need a bit of help to grow to the next level,” said a District Council spokesperson.
Applications close at the end of February; early submissions are recommended. Eligible businesses can use the funding for investments such as equipment upgrades, product development, marketing, or expanding their service offering.
The scheme has already supported several creative enterprises in the region. Local photography, video production, wellbeing, and pottery studios have used previous grants to enhance their facilities, improve production quality, and diversify income streams.
The council’s initiative aligns with national efforts to boost regional creative industries, helping small and medium-sized enterprises scale up and modernise their operations. The funding continues to play a key role in developing sustainable creative infrastructure across the Derbyshire Dales.
