New rental high as Leicester’s most prominent buildings is let

A major letting has been agreed at Peat House, one of Leicester’s most prominent buildings.

Real Estate Investors (REI) has let 14,000 sq ft of space in the building situated opposite the city’s train station, to Charles Alexander Distribution.

The distributor of promotional merchandise has taken the whole of the first floor and part of the second, at a new rental high for Peat House of £13.75 per sq ft.

Other tenants include Bellrock FM which occupies 21,715 sq ft, Innes England and accountants KMPG.

Ian Clark, REI’s senior asset manager, said: “The latest letting came after substantial investment from the landlord into the office space and reception area, creating grade A office space that represents exceptional value.

“The deal was completed in just two months from initial viewing to completion, and is testament to both sides for ensuring the deal happened so quickly.”

Agents Phillips Sutton advised REI and legal advice to REI was provided by Shakespeare Martineau.
