Connolly Land & Developments has opened a new South Midlands regional office.
The company, based in West Bridgford, Nottingham, specialises in identifying rural sites for small housing developments and large scale solar farms in rural areas.
The firms says it is looking for new opportunities across Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The new office has been set up at the new Priors Hall Business Park in Corby.
Since its establishment in 2008, the company has focused its efforts on the East Midlands. The new office, it says, demonstrates the strength of the market and the ambition of the company.
Connolly Land was originally set up by Alan Connolly, but the new region will be led by Dave Connolly, creating a father-son combination with over 50 years’ experience in the local market.
Dave Connolly was previously land director at Larkfleet Homes, driving the company’s land acquisition and development for the past eight years.
He said: “This is an exciting time for Connolly Land. Setting up the new Corby office demonstrates both the strength of the market and the ambition of the company. And the chance to work with Alan was too good an opportunity to miss. I have had a long and successful career in the housing sector – bringing that experience into a family run company is the right step for me, and the right step for Connolly Land.”
Alan Connolly said: “Connolly Land has cut its teeth in the east midlands, delivering housing sites and large scale solar farms across the area. The time is right to expand, and Corby was the natural location for that expansion.
“We are delighted to have our new regional office at Corby Enterprise Centre, at Priors Hall Business Park. We are actively looking to buy sites and with dad’s knowledge and experience we can help local land owners deliver the value in their land.”
