Architects CPMG and international property and construction consultancy Gleeds have pledged their support to Nottingham charity Radford Care Group, to build a state-of-the-art new day care centre for elderly people across the city.
Radford Care Group was established in 1968 through its founding members coming together with a shared ambition to help their local community. The existing care centre, in Prospect Street in Radford, will be rebuilt as a more sustainable, environmentally-friendly, state-of-the art facility, offering care and activities for elderly people across the city. The project is set to start on site in 2018 and once complete, will create an extra 75 spaces for its service users.
CPMG Director Nick Gregory, who is directly working on the scheme, said: “It really is a fantastic project to be working on and the new day centre will bring great benefit to the service users of Radford Care Group. The commitment from the staff at Radford Care Group is outstanding and adds to the community feel we engaged with since day one.
“At CPMG we choose a charity every year to support and we thought this is an excellent project and one which we are very happy to be working on and further encourage other companies to get involved.”
Gleeds Director Anthony Cork, said: “Radford Care Group doesn’t only offer invaluable support services but provides a vibrant, busy and innovative environment for the elderly which is instrumental within our community. Working in conjunction with CPMG to deliver this project is fantastic and it will be an exciting few months for everyone involved in this scheme.”
CEO at Radford Care Group, Jill Davies said: “It is truly brilliant that companies with the prestige of Gleeds and CPMG are willing to offer their professional services to our cause. We have been working with them for some time and have already made some very exciting progress on the project.
“The next 12 months are some of the most exciting in the charity’s history, and we look forward to continuing to build these relationships as well as other businesses around the city”
The new building is set to be complete in winter of 2018 for a Christmas opening combined with a 50 year anniversary.
