Business management software provider Solutions for Accounting and CRM has raised £4,500 for Nottingham Children’s Hospitals.
The firm raised the cash throughout the year after selecting NCH as its chosen charity for 2017.
Founded in 1903, NCH provides a range of general and specialist services for children and young people in the city, as well as non-clinical initiatives such as youth services and hospital school.
Treating more than 60,000 children and young people a year who have illnesses such as cancer and kidney, brain and respiratory conditions, NCH aims to make its facilities as relaxed and stress-free as possible for the comfort of its patients and their families and friends.
The charity also provides rooms where families and friends can be with their child on the ward, with the support they need from staff members.
The fundraising effort included a team of 19 riders from Solutions taking part in the Great Notts Bike Ride and raising more than £2,000 in the process, monthly staff dress-down days, cake bakes, mini-games, raffles and tombolas.
Solutions’ MD Iain Barker said: “We are aware of the wonderful work that NCH does, and I am thrilled that as a company we were able to pull together to really make a difference. We could have done so only with the support of our generous clients, business partners, employees and families, who have dug deep for an amazing cause.
“We hope our contribution will help NCH staff to continue to make a huge difference to the brave children in their care and their families, allowing them to feel as comfortable as possible during their time at the hospital.”
Nick Lawford, Fundraising Manager at NCH, said: “We are so grateful to the fabulous team at Solutions for joining together throughout 2017 to raise such a fabulous total for Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
“We know that having a child in hospital is one of the most stressful experiences a family will ever have to face. That’s why, in November 2016, we launched our BIG Appeal for Nottingham Children’s Hospital, aiming to raise £4m by 2021 to transform children’s care, improve parent and family accommodation, and research new treatments.
“Thanks to the passion, dedication and generosity – not to mention baking and cycling skills – of companies like Solutions, we know we will make this happen.”
