Michelin-trained owner opens new Nottingham eatery

Alex Bond at soon-to-open eatery Alchemilla

The opening date of a high-end restaurant in Nottingham has been unveiled by its Michelin-trained owner.

Bookings are now being taken for Alchemilla after chef and proprietor Alex Bond announced the opening date will be Tuesday 1st August.

Bond was given the green-light by the council to open the restaurant at the former Victorian coach house, which has been unused for 100 years. the venue has undergone a massive transformation.

He was a chef at Turners in Birmingham and spent three and a half years working under Sat Bains, whose Lenton Lane venue in Nottingham boasts two Michelin stars.

Alchemilla will open for lunch from Wednesday to Saturday, for dinner from Tuesday to Friday, and opening a little earlier on Saturdays, serving a five-course menu at £35, a seven -course menu at £45 or ten-course menu priced at £60
