Mercure Hotels has completed an extensive bedroom and spa renovation at its Daventry Court Hotel & Spa. The four-star property has upgraded 155 guest rooms and en-suite bathrooms to reflect the area’s natural environment.
Daventry is home to a wealth of natural waterways, with the Oxford canal running just a couple of hundred yards away from the hotel. This historic river flows from the Oxford Thames into the Union Canal, right through the nearby Braunston tunnel. Braunston Marina, just a short drive from the hotel, has also inspired the new hotel design, which reflects the colours of the waterways.
A fitness centre is available for guests alongside an indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room and spa for leisure use. Further hotel amenities include The Fuel Bar and Restaurant, inspired by the local Silverstone Race Track which can be reached in approximately 30 minutes by car.
Thomas Dubaere, managing director, AccorHotels UK and Ireland, said: “The refurbishment of the Mercure Daventry Court Hotel & Spa has been completed to an exceptionally high standard and we look forward to welcoming guests here”.
Mercure Daventry Court hotel joined the Mercure brand in October 2015 following the signing of a management contract with Amaris Hospitality.
Peter Stack, managing director of Amaris Asset Management, said: “The investment made has been invaluable to the property and has re-positioned the hotel as a perfect spa facility on the doorstep of Northamptonshire”.
