From 2020 all new Jaguar Land Rover vehicles will either be fully electric or hybrid.
The company made the announcement at its inaugural Tech Fest, a series of debates and a free public exhibition about the future of mobility.
Dr Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover CEO, said: “Every new Jaguar Land Rover model line will be electrified from 2020, giving our customers even more choice.
“We will introduce a portfolio of electrified products across our model range, embracing fully electric, plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid vehicles.
“Our first fully electric performance SUV, the Jaguar I-PACE, goes on sale next year.”
The theme for the car maker’s inaugural Tech Fest was ‘Technology with Heart’, an event that explores the positive role technology is playing in reshaping the automotive industry and beyond.
The free-to-enter festival took place at the internationally recognised Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
Aside from showing off their new electric cars, the technology festival featured a pop-up version of the Gorillaz Garage so participants could try their hand at cracking the code and potentially land themselves a job at Jaguar Land Rover.
For those unable to make it to London, the Gorillaz app coding challenge remains open worldwide.
The news comes just weeks after Volvo decided they would be only producing only electrified models from 2019.
