Derby Museums fundraising ball at the Silk Mill recently proved a sell-out event, adding momentum to their Heritage Lottery Fund Heritage Endowments campaign.
The annual event welcomed 149 guests and with match funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, raised £23,223 towards their Heritage Endowments fund, to help secure the long term future of the Museums.
Jenny Cuadrado, Development Manager for Derby Museums said: ‘’We were absolutely overwhelmed with the level support our guests and prize donors gave to this event.
“The success is a testament to the amazing team behind the Alchemist Ball and to the support we have from organisations and the public who want to join us in safeguarding the future of Derby Museums.”
Over the next four years Derby Museums aims to raise £1 million that will be matched pound for pound by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
This will create a £2 million Endowment Fund that will be permanently invested to provide an income to help to support Derby Museums’ long term future.
