Businesses in Nottingham left to find alternate venues for Christmas parties after Bear & Lace closes

The Bear & Lace closes its doors leaving businesses in the area to find an alternate venue.

The Bear & Lace in Nottingham has closed its doors without warning, leaving local businesses having to rearrange Christmas celebrations in the City.

Reports in the local newspaper suggest the bar has been sold to a “major UK operator” but, despite trying to contact the current owners, East Midlands Business Link have yet to receive a response.

The Bear & Lace, on Maid Marian Way in the city centre was set up by Eddie Rathour in 2015, but appears to have closed for good after one Nottingham firm contacted East Midlands Business Link to rearrange a function they had booked there in just two days time.

Businesses in the area that have events booked may wish to check with the owners of the bar or rearrange their events elsewhere.
