Leicestershire’s JustHype, the global fashion brand that was started in 2011 by an ex-graphic design at De Montfort University in Leicester and his friend Aidy Lennox, is planning 50 news stores in China, as part of its global expansion plans.
All the more remarkable when one considers the Wigston based business started life in a bedroom selling printed T-shirts, and has grown to the multi million turnover it now enjoys.
The new stores for China are just another step in the company’s progressive expansion plan. The firm already has five stores in Taiwan and is shortly opening a Hong Kong store.
The brand caters for twenty somethings and the company pride themselves on their speed of turnaround, often completing buyers’ orders within seven days, which the company puts down to having its production centre Leicester-based. The company also has distributors in major cities including: Germany, Italy, France and Spain.
The brand which has been seen worn by popular icons such as One Direction, DJ act Rudimental, Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Cara Delevingne is certainly carving a niche and has caused mayhem in high streets with as many as 350 people waiting in line for a new store to open.
