Chesterfield packaging manufacturer reports revenue increase

Chesterfield-based plastic and paperboard packaging manufacturer Robinson has reported a 4% increase in revenue for the year ended 31st December 2015 – up to £29.1m.

In light of this result, the company’s board has suggested an increased final dividend for the year of 3.00p per share, raising the total dividend declared in respect of 2015 by 10% to 5.5p.

The strong performance of Madrox – a Polish company that Robinson acquired for £13.2m in 2014 – has also given the manufacturer a boost.

Richard Clothier chairman at Robinson, said: “I am pleased to report that the Madrox business has performed ahead of expectations during the year resulting in an enhanced earn out. Management is committed to both organic growth in sales and operational efficiency and through these we expect to deliver further growth in revenue and earnings.”

As well as its Chesterfield headquarters, Robinson has bases in Kirby in Ashfield and Sutton in Ashfield.
