Both Ian Dickinson and Richard Tattersall have moved up the ranks, progressing into the roles of tax director and senior audit manager respectively.
Newly promoted tax director, Ian Dickinson joined UHY in 2006, and has more than 20 years’ experience within the tax sector. During his time at UHY, Ian has seen the needs of SMEs change, with many of his clients prioritising commercial and specialist tax advice alongside traditional audit and accounting services.
Ian said: “Becoming a tax director is an exciting next step for me and I am pleased to be part of such a respected accountancy firm. Over the past few years I have really noticed a shift in the accountancy sector, with the needs of clients adapting alongside their audit requirements. Over the past year we have introduced a number of changes, from moving office to a series of promotions, all of which have better equipped us to provide an outstanding service.
“This promotion is something which will enable me to gain more exposure outside of the firm and I will be able to contribute more significantly to our business development. I am excited to be supporting the firm’s partners with their strategy and to drive the business forward.”
The firm’s management team has also been expanded with Richard Tattersall stepping into the role of senior audit manager. In this role, Richard will be heading up the firm’s team of managers within both audit and accounts, acting as a link between management and partners.
Speaking of these changes, lead partner for Nottingham, Simon Browning said: “With both Ian and Richard stepping into new roles we have been able to take forward our already successful audit, accounts and tax teams and build on their successes. I am really pleased to be leading the office forward and identifying ways we can add value to our clients, providing exceptional service for new and existing clients.
“UHY is a major player in Nottingham and through these changes we will be able to reinforce this position and take pride in our team’s hard work. We have continued to adapt our ways of working over the past year, with a notable change being our move from The Ropewalk to Park Row. This move brought our team together under one roof, allowing us to better leverage our expertise and ultimately deliver an even better service to our existing clients and push the business forward.
“We are pleased both Ian and Richard decided to make their next steps here at UHY Hacker Young in Nottingham, and we look forward to seeing them and their skills continue to develop.”
