The East Midlands is the most cyber secure region of the UK in which to do business, according to the Barclays’ Digital Safety Index – and corporate fraud solicitors Rahman Ravelli have released a guide to advise businesses on how to keep it that way.
The company advises firms how to protect themselves against money laundering and how to spot the signs of new digital money-laundering techniques.
Looking to spread safety awareness, the Safety Index highlights weaknesses across its 6,000-person sample to prevent further incidents.
One of the key findings is the link between higher levels of digital safety awareness and a reduced likelihood of experiencing fraud or scams.
Aziz Rahman, Senior Partner at Rahman Ravelli, says now is the time for surrounding areas to follow the example set by the East Midlands: “Good digital safety is essential, not only for UK adults but also for the businesses they may well be responsible for.
“The results of the Barclays Digital Safety Index show the East Midlands to be exemplary in their protective methods.
“The surrounding regions must follow suit. It is increasingly easy for organisations to get caught up in some form of digital fraud, but if they know how to spot the signs, they can protect themselves in the long run”.
