Matlock-based steel firm Twiggs has appointed Craig Anthony as its new works manager. He will oversee the company’s steelstock and fabrication division.
Anthony joins Twiggs with more than 19 years’ experience in the steel trade, from starting his apprenticeship at age 16 on the shop floor to skilled roles as a plater, welder and fabrication manager. His in-depth knowledge and expertise is a valuable addition to the Twiggs steel team and continues the firm’s commitment to employing experienced staff who can support customers with invaluable advice and knowledge.
He said: “I am enjoying this new challenge. It is so diverse at Twiggs. One moment I am talking to builders about structural orders, the next I am working with the special projects manager at Chatsworth House on a bespoke project. The variety is what attracted me to the company, as well as their long established reputation for providing high quality steelwork with genuine customer service. The steel workshop here is fantastic – we can do things here that other companies can’t. I’m looking forward to helping Twiggs continue to flourish and grow, both in terms of steel stock and fabrication”.
Anthony currently works alongside works manager Alan Boden, who has been with Twiggs for more than 30 years and who will retire in Spring 2017.
