Nottingham-based home improvements company Stormclad has strengthened its team with the appointment of Tia Kama as a customer service administrator.
Tia, who lives in Forest Fields in Nottingham, has over 16 years of experience in administration and prior to joining Stormclad she worked as a civilian administration manager contractor in Afghanistan for six years in support of the NATO forces, as well as serving in the British Army for 10 years before that.
Stormclad is an owner managed family business, selling products ranging from conservatories to carports and verandas. It is the largest independent home improvements company in Nottingham and for over 20 years has been working with customers across the East Midlands.
In her new role, Tia will be responsible for handling customer queries and will be in charge of scheduling installations and home visits. In addition, Tia will provide a range of administrative support across the firm.
Tia said: “I can put my experience to excellent use at Stormclad and there is a great deal of opportunity for me to progress within the company which is very exciting.
“Stormclad provides a very supportive working environment and being part of the team feels like being part of one big family. Having previously been in the army, I was a little worried about moving into a civilian working environment for the first time, but everyone who works here, from management to the installation team, have already made me feel so welcome.”
Clyde Scothern, managing director at Stormclad, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Tia to the team. She has a wealth of experience and is very professional when it comes to dealing with clients.
“Our team is constantly expanding and developing, allowing us to continue to deliver exceptional customer service across the East Midlands.
“I look forward to working with Tia and would like to wish her the best of luck in her new role.”
