A host of new faces are now hard at work at Vanilla Accounting following an expansion of the business. This has followed a series of new client ‘wins’, as well as the providing of new services to existing and new clients, with the new staff members fitting seamlessly into the West Bridgford based company’s multi-functional team.
From its impressive centrally located West Bridgford offices, Vanilla Accounting has rapidly become one of the leading accountancy firms in the area. Serving clients throughout the East Midlands, the company has recently taken on new clients from companies and individuals in Beeston, Newark and Nottingham.
The large number of new clients added to Vanilla Accounting’s portfolio, and the development of more customer focused services, has meant that the company has just completed a major recruitment drive which has significantly added to the size and expertise of the team.
“We realised that in order to fully service the requirements of our diverse customer base, deliver improved service to our existing customers and offer new services, we needed more people. We are fortunate that our reputation as an employer meant that we were inundated with applications, which meant we could choose the very best,” stated managing director Phil Edwards concerning the recent expansion.
“In recent years we’ve been approached by companies of all sizes. It seems to be a case of business owners or financial directors recommending us to their friends and colleagues,” commented Phil. “This really is the best sort of recommendation, as it rewards all the hard work the Vanilla team puts in providing, what we believe, to be the very best accountancy and business advice service,” adds Phil.
Success has not only been about new clients however, as Phil explains: “We’ve looked very carefully at the services we supply to our customers, and tried to identify trends. HMRC’s requirements seem to become more complex and demanding with each new directive. Thus, we have tailored our services to be able to offer such solutions as cloud based accounting and ‘virtual financial director’ service, which customers are increasingly requiring and we are geared up to deliver.”
Amongst the new faces at Vanilla Accounting is Kelly Hilton, who has a real passion for bookkeeping, and is a fully qualified AAT qualified bookkeeper. Helen Parr will be providing customer support in order to build on her diverse career in both industry and education. Tom Dean studied Accounting & Finance in Manchester and last but by no means least, Rachel Wade who is AAT and part ACCA qualified.
Phil is confident that the new team members will significantly add to the service Vanilla Accounting is able to offer. “I feel we’ve recruited some of the best people out there. I am totally confident they will be able to add to the service we offer to our clients, and I have been particularly impressed how they all have ‘hit the ground running’ almost from day 1,” concludes a very proud Phil Edwards of his new team members.
