Software Development Company, Evolve-IT Consulting Ltd have announced the appointment of a new MD, Nigel Bates, as part of plans to achieve £5M turnover in the next five years.
Previously led by Founder and CEO Leanne-Bonner-Cooke, and Chief Technology Officer, Colette Wyatt, the company plans to reach their £5M target with a bigger, broader management team.
Leanne has introduced a new MD and three new board members to help her in executing her strategy; alongside Nigel in the MD role, Evolve also welcomes Matthew Broadbent as Finance Director and Neil Malpas as Non-Executive Director.
New MD Nigel Bates has a strong track record in consultancy, software and outsourcing, and in bringing strategic enterprise-level expertise to businesses. Nigel has been responsible for significant growth at Microsoft, Capita, Serco amongst many others and so is well-versed in the demands of business growth and performance.
Evolve’s CEO Leanne Bonner Cooke said: “I’m delighted to welcome Nigel to the team and confident that he will lead the business into its next phase of major growth. His passion for technology along with his people and customer focus are critically important to the Evolve culture. The team and I are looking forward to welcoming him into the business alongside Matthew and Neil as part of our new management team.”
As a board member of Carecentric Ltd, a company he founded, Nigel has transformed large offshore development companies, established growth opportunities for high tech care businesses and is involved in the growth of ‘internet of things’ for integrated health and social care.
Specialising in the construction, manufacturing, retail and pharmaceutical industries, Evolve have clients throughout the UK and overseas including Tarmac, Mondelez International, Seddon and MSD.
The decision to grow the Evolve Management team has been one that CEO Leanne Bonner-Cooke MBE has been planning since the end of 2017: “I wanted to bring in new blood to Evolve, but having run the business myself with the support of my team for over ten years, I knew that handing over the reins would be a test for me personally. I am relieved to say I can’t think of a better group of people to shoulder Evolve with besides Nigel, Neil and Matthew.”
