Howes Percival’s Jane Cowley has been invited to join the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) East Midlands Regional Council.
The role will see Jane, who is also on the board of Leicester Business Voice, represent the legal sector as well as the SMEs, business owners and family businesses who make up the core of Howes Percival’s client base. The 12 month co-option onto the East Midlands Regional Council starts on the 1st January 2016 until 31st December 2016 with the opportunity to apply for a 3 year term thereafter.
Cowley said: “I feel very honoured indeed to have been invited to join the CBI’s regional council. The CBI plays a crucial role in ensuring that businesses feel represented at the highest level and that policy decisions are informed by real, shop floor insight. I know from my work with Leicester Business Voice that representative bodies can help to bring businesses together and make a real difference. I look forward to serving the CBI and helping to channel the views of the legal profession and other businesses in the area.”
